The following description of duties for the Safety Officers and assigned sweep riders is

a guideline for the conduct of these positions within the VFW Rider chapters of Arizona.

Duties as a Safety Officer and/or a sweep rider should not be taken lightly and all tasks

described herein are required to ensure all rides are conducted as safely as possible.
